Saudi Prince: Shaking Israeli Deputy FM's Hand Does Not Indicate Change In Saudi Policy

Saudi Prince Turki Al-Faisal, director of the King Faisal Center for Islamic studies, has released an announcement stating that his handshake with Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Dani Ayalon came while Ayalon was apologizing for his treatment of the Turkish Ambassador to Israel and for his statement that Saudi Arabia was not sufficiently helping the Palestinian Authority.

The prince said that the Israelis must not expect Saudi recognition of their country, and that his position towards Israel remains as it was.
