Qatari Cleric: No Celebrating Valentine's Day

In his Friday February 5 sermon, Qatari Sheikh Muhammad ibn Hasan Al-Muraikhi stated that Muslims must not celebrate Valentine's Day (February 14), which he called holiday rooted in forbidden meeting between men and women and one that encourages lust among young people.

Al-Muraikhi called on Muslims to adhere to the Muslim holidays and to refrain from marking infidel holidays.
