In his Friday February 5 sermon, Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradhawi, head of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, condemned the Palestinian Authority's use of pictures documenting his meeting with Neturei Karta members for propaganda against him, and stated that there was nothing to prevent him meeting with anti-Zionist rabbis, but that he rejected any meeting or discussion with Zionist rabbis.
Al-Qaradhawi stressed that all his life he had supported the Palestinians, and that he sought to die as a martyr for Allah while defending Palestine.
He added that every Muslim was obligated to liberate Palestine and to resist global Zionism and those who support it.
