Fatah Central Committee member Nabil Sha'th said that the return to the negotiating table with Israel was a tactical move that was necessary but conditional. He claimed no progress in negotiations would be possible so long as the Israeli government was "stealing heritage, distorting history, and Judaizing Jerusalem."
