Abbas Advisor: There’ll Be No Third Intifada

Nimer Hammad, advisor to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, has said that the Palestinians will not launch a third Intifada, after the second Intifada was a free gift to Israel, and threatened to arrest anyone carrying weapons or explosives in the West Bank.

He said that Jerusalem was the heart of the conflict, that it must not e relinquished, and that there would be no peace without it.

He added that if the Palestinians were not successful at liberating the territories, they must at least strengthen those who remain in them so that they do not become refugees.
