In an editorial, the reformist Iranian daily Aftab-e Yazd has stated that no government in Iran has earned as much criticism as that of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The paper attacked the government's disregard of criticism on economic matters and its denial regarding the increasing inflation in the country, and pointed out that Ahmadinejad had denied that Iran's inflation was currently at 23% – even though conservative circles, including the Majlis Strategic Research Center, had acknowledged that this was the case.
