
According to a report on Al-Manar TV’s website, Turkish Prime Minister Recept Tayyip Erdogan offered his condolences via telephone to Hezbollah Secretary-General Hasan Nasrallah over the death of the Lebanese Grand Ayatollah Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah.
The report stated that Erdogan “expressed his sorrow to the family of Fadlullah and the Lebanese people.” Nasrallah thanked Erdogan for both the call and his stance on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, stating “your positions have given hope to the Arab and Muslim world.”
