In Speech, Nasrallah Attacks March 14 Forces, International Tribunal

In a speech yesterday, Hizbullah secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah vehemently attacked the soon-to-be-released indictment by the international tribunal for the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Al-Hariri, which many presume will accuse Hizbullah of the deed.

Nasrallah said that this was an attempt to harm his organization, and clarified that Hizbullah knows very well how to defend itself against anyone who tries to plot against it.

Also in his speech, Nasrallah also mounted an unprecedented attack against the March 14 Forces, demanding that they publicly confess their mistakes in the past five years – first and foremost their incitement against Syria and its allies in Lebanon.

He clarified to the March 14 Forces leaders that there was no way to overlook their actions throughout this whole period, and that their refusal to comply with his demands would affect Lebanon's political future.

Nasrallah also hinted that the Al-Siniora government in Lebanon [2005-2009] and its decisions were illegitimate.

[It was this government that decided to establish the international tribunal.]
