The United States has arranged for the employment in various countries of 140 Iraqi experts in the field of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), in an attempt to prevent their employment by countries engaged in WMD programs.
The U.S. Department of Energy, in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency, has placed them in projects in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East.
