Fars: IRGC Planning Countrywide War Games

The Iranian news agency Fars reports that an IRGC commander announced today that the IRGC Ground Force is to conduct a series of massive war games throughout the country in early winter.

"We will conduct war games of the (IRGC) ground forces based on the specified timelines. Accordingly, a number of war games will be carried out in Day (December 22, 2010-January 20, 2011) throughout the country," IRGC ground forces lieutenant commander Abdollah Araqi said today.

He noted that the massive military drills are aimed at maintaining and bolstering combat preparedness of the IRGC's ground forces.
