In a speech marking Martyrs Day in Lebanon, Hizbullah secretary-general Hassan Nasrallah announced that his organization would chop off the hand of anyone who tried to arrest his men on suspicion of involvement in the assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Al-Hariri.
Nasrallah assessed that Syria and Saudi Arabia had a good chance of resolving the crisis in Lebanon, and said that Iran would welcome this.
He added that Hizbullah was waiting for war with Israel, and expressed confidence that the organization would triumph if war did break out.
He said that France was the one that had proposed changing the Taif Agreement to Iran, and dividing the parliamentary and government posts equally among Christians, Sunnis, and Shi'ites in Lebanon in an attempt to lure Hizbullah into laying down its arms.
