The Gaza Journalists Union condemned Hamas for ordering its former culture minister, Dr. Ibrahim Abrash, to sign a statement promising not to write articles against Hamas. After Abrash, who was summoned to the movement's security headquarters, refused to sign the statement, Hamas warned him he would be punished for his refusal.
