Muslim Brotherhood in Syria: Come Out Against Regime

The Muslim Brotherhood in Syria, which is outlawed, has called on the Syrian people to come out against the regime and say "no" to corruption, repression, poverty, and hunger.

In a communiqué, the movement called on the Syrian army not to aim its weapons at the people demonstrating, and demanded that the regime change the constitution, abolish the emergency laws, hold free elections, and free the prisoners – or civil war could break out.

'Ali Sadr Al-Din Al Bayanouni, former Muslim Brotherhood general guide, said that the human rights situation, freedom of expression, and repression in Syria are worse than in Egypt.
