Egypt Arrests Two Activists From Middle East Christian Association

Activists Wagiya Yaaqoub and George Abd Al-Malak, from the Canada-based Middle East Christian Association (MECA), have been arrested for investigation on charges of posting online material that harms Islam.

The charges against the two include: publishing false announcements harming the public interest; spreading extremist ideas sparking civil war and harming Islam and social stability; and drawing up and deliberately circulating a false version of the Koran.
