In an article, former Syrian information minister Mahdi Dahlallah wrote that the contacts in the matter of the Annapolis conference that Arab and foreign elements have held with Syria are proof that Syria's standing on its principles is forcing others to respect that stand and to find a common language with it.
He added that Syria was not interested in the outcome of the conference, but rather in the political benefit it gained by adhering to its position and to its demands.
