On October 17, 2011, the Al-Qaeda media company Al-Sahab posted a 28-minute video message by Abu Yahya Al-Libi, titled "Algeria and the Battle of Patience." In the message, Al-Libi speaks about France's continued efforts to maintain its grip on Algeria, from its colonization of the country to date.
