At the opening session of the Conference on Islamic Dialogue in Doha, Qatar, prominent Sunni cleric Sheikh Yousef Al-Qaradhawi accused Iran of seeking to spread Shi'ism in Sunni lands.
Al-Qaradhawi, who is slated to become the next head of the World Federation of Islamic Clerics (Sunni). said Iran's attempt to proselytize in Sunni countries such as Egypt, Sudan, Morocco, and Algeria would contribute to fitna, or civil strife
