Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb Recruiting Female Suicide Bombers

The reformist website Aafaq reports that Algerian state security sources revealed that Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika was targeted by a woman suicide bomber during Eid Al-Adha.

Detained Algerian terrorists said that several wives and sisters of terrorists have been recruited for suicide attacks.

According to Aafaq, Algerians are alarmed at Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb’s constant changes in tactics, which have included targeted assassinations, car bombs, suicide car bombs, and suicide bombings.

Following threats of massive terror attacks planned for January 11, police and army forces have been deployed throughout the Algerian capital Algiers.
