Saudi FM Tells Iran to Keep Out of Arab Affairs

Saudi Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal has called on Iran to refrain from interfering in Arab matters. He clarified that the Saudi-Iranian dialogue was being conducted because of the need to inform the Iranians about the fears of Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries regarding Iran's influence in the Arab world.

The Hizbullah website has protested against Saudi Foreign Minister Saud Al-Faisal's statement that "sending a French emissary to Iran to discuss the crisis in Lebanon and in Iraq gives legitimacy to Iran's interference in the Arab world." The Hizbullah website called the statements "surprising" and claimed that it was France and the U.S. who were interfering in the region, particularly in Lebanon.
