Spanish Court Clears Moroccan Journalist Of Libel Charges

A Spanish appeals court has overturned the conviction of Moroccan journalist Ali Lmrabet, clearing him of libel charges.

Lmrabet was sued by two journalists from the official Moroccan news agency for a 2005 article stating that they were connected to Moroccan intelligence.

The court ruled that Lmrabet's article was not aimed at them personally, but at the Moroccan news agency as a whole.

Following these events, Lmrabet began writing for the Spanish daily El Mundo.
