Following the decision by Iraq's president to execute Ali Hassan Al-Majid, known as "Chemical Ali," the residents of the city of Halabja are demanding that the execution take place on March 16, the 20th anniversary of the poison gas attack on the city by the Ba'th regime.
The head of the Halabja Victims Association said that he would be sending a memo to the authorities on the matter.
