Algeria and China Sign Two Nuclear Deals

Algeria and China signed two nuclear energy agreements, the first is on the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and the second details cooperation and partnership between Algeria's Ministry of Energy and Mines and China's Atomic Energy Agency.

Earlier, the two countries signed four other agreements on economic and technical assistance and cooperation in public works, Algerie Presse Service reported.

A Chinese delegation headed by a top communist party official is currently visiting Algeria on the first stop of a five-nation tour. The delegation will also visit Mauritania, Morocco, Tunisia and Syria.
