An Iraqi source in the office of Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki said that Al-Maliki is planning to visit Tehran in the coming days to present the Iranians with documents and evidence showing the involvement of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) in training members of the armed militias in Iraq and in smuggling arms into Iraq from Iran.
The source said that during the Basra operation, large caches of Iranian arms were discovered.
