Lebanese cleric Da'i Al-Islam Al-Shahal, founder of the Salafist stream in Tripoli, Lebanon, has called for a general draft of Sunnis following the attack on them during the current events in Lebanon.
Al-Shahal said Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah was a criminal because he was an agent of Tehran at Lebanon's expense, and said that they would know how to fight back.
In response to Al-Shahal's statements, editor of the London daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat Tareq Alhomayed said that the power-intoxicated Nasrallah had forgotten that his extremist counterparts among the Sunnis also knew how to use weapons, and that while Iran might be able to operate agents across the Arab world, it would not be able to put out the fire of civil war that it started in the Middle East.
