Iraqi Vice President Adel Abd Al-Mahdi has said that it is a mistake to define disagreements between Iran and other forces in the region as a "Sunni-Shi'ite conflict."
He said that claims of a "Shi'ite plot" to take over the Arab countries are the result of changes in the political balance of power in several Arab countries and on the regional level.
He added that Shi'ites and Sunnis have lived in the region for many hundreds of years, and would continue to do so.
