An Arab diplomatic source in Bahrain reports that Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad is claiming that Saudi Arabia is conspiring to topple his regime.
Bashar allegedly presented evidence of his claim during a May 26 meeting with Arab League secretary-general Amr Moussa.
Also during the meeting, the source said, Assad stated that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak would not visit Syria for fear that such a visit would enrage the Saudis, and expressed his objections to Saudi Arabia's attempt to make the Saudi-Iran problem into an Arab-Iran problem.
