Syrian sources have said that the strategic picture in the Middle East will change when the longed-for peace with Israel is attained, and that a true peace will give security and stability to the countries of the region.
The sources added that even Iran is not against such a peace.
Syrian Mufti Ahmad Badr Al-Din Hasson said that Syria's religious and political leaders were greatly interested in peace with Israel.
