Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad met yesterday with two representatives of French President Nicolas Sarkozy to discuss French-Syrian relations, the situation in Lebanon, the Syrian-Israeli peace process, and the Mediterranean Union initiative.
It was reported that the talks were productive and effective, and that the sides agreed on the need to reinforce bilateral Syrian-French relations.
