An Iraqi government conference in Baghdad that ended June 26 focused on ways to protect doctors in the city, as well as on ways of attracting Iraqi doctors residing abroad, including including incentives and commitments to protecting them.
The Iraqi Health Ministry has already committed to build protected residential areas for doctors near their workplaces, and to act to attract them to return to Iraq immediately.
