Egypt has ordered its diplomats to act to consolidate an international bloc in support of Sudan against the International Criminal Court.
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak yesterday conducted a surprise visit to Italy in order to discuss with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi the ICC's demand for the arrest of Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir.
In addition, the Egyptian government has placed legal experts at the disposal of Arab League secretary-general Amr Moussa for any legal help or consultation necessary to prevent Al-Bashir's arrest.
