Sudan: Freezing Proceedings Against Bashir Insufficient

Nafi' Ali Nafi', senior political advisor to Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir, has said that Khartoum would not settle for a freeze in International Criminal Court proceedings against Bashir and Sudanese regime heads, and that the proceedings must be cancelled outright.

Today, Al-Bashir begins a two-day visit to the Darfur region, with the aim of showing that the Darfur residents support him.
