March 14 Forces leader Samir Geagea has called the statement by Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Al-Mu'alem that handing over the Shaba'a Farms to U.N. custodianship will not end the occupation (see "Syrian FM: Don't Know Whether Lebanese Are Interested In Opening Embassies") "against logic."
He said that what is preventing the transfer of the farms to Lebanese sovereignty is Syria's refusal to register the borders between Lebanon and Syria.
