Knowledgeable diplomatic sources have said that in the upcoming period an important strategic high-level dialogue will take place between Damascus and Moscow, on international and regional developments.
They said that the dialogue is in the wake of the war in the Caucasus and the Russia-U.S. conflict against the backdrop of the U.S.'s intent to deploy a missile defense system in Europe.
The sources said that Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad's visit this week to Moscow is of great importance in this context.
