The Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar reports that the Salafi Sunni organizations that signed, on August 18, a document of understandings with Hizbullah (see "In Lebanon, Hizbullah, Salafist Organizations Sign Document Of Understandings") have been forced to freeze it following pressure from the Al-Mustaqbal stream, Lebanese politicians and security personnel, and Gulf Salafi organizations.
The Salafi organizations that signed the document announced that they had decided to freeze it in order to hold additional consultations on it.
