Three parties that supported the coup in Mauritania, including the party of opposition chairman Ahmad Ould Dadah, have refused to join the new government.
According to Ould Dadah, the refusal is because the Supreme State Council, the body established by the coup leaders to run the country, did not respond to their request to set a date for new elections and to ensure that the military does not run in them.
