A French source reports that French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner during his visit to Syria and Lebanon got the impression that Syria was showing openness towards French President Nicolas Sarkozy's requests regarding Lebanon, but that it was doing so at its own pace, discussing every issue, gradually and according to its own interests.
