Sudan FM's Criticism Censored

Sudanese security services have censored an item in the Al-Ahdath newspaper on criticism voiced yesterday, August 27, by Sudanese Foreign Minister Ding Alor on behalf of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM).

Alor condemned the August 25 armed forces attack on the Kalma refugee camp in Darfur (see "Demonstrations, Resignations Follow Massacre At Darfur Refugee Camps"), in which over 30 refugees were killed.

He added that the Kalma incidents would drown Sudan in problems, and Sudan did not need new accusations against it from the international community or new clashes with it.
