Report: Al-Sadr In Tehran Hospital Following Assassination Attempt

Associates of the leader of the Sadrists in Iraq, Muqtada Al-Sadr, have said that he is currently partially conscious in a Tehran hospital following an attempt to assassinate him by poisoning.

Six months ago, one of Al-Sadr's security personnel tried to assassinate him near his home in Najaf using sarin gas.

He was rushed by private plane to Tehran in serious condition, and did not regained his strength since.
