Hamas Political Bureau deputy head Moussa Abu Marzouq told a website affiliated with Hamas that Hamas was working day and night to restore the Palestinian resistance to what it was in the past. He said that Hamas had decided to ally with others based on legitimizing the resistance and refusing settlement. However, PLO Executive Council Secretary Yasser Abd Rabbo called for a halt to the firing of missiles because they help Israel present itself as a victim and give its prime minister a pretext to destroy the Gaza Strip. He said that the missiles had no connection to the resistance, and their only aim was to reinforce the influence of some of the factions of the armed gangs.
