Iranian Leader Khamenei Throws Out Bill To Shorten Ahmadinejad's Term Of Office

A bill to shorten the term of office of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad by four months has been removed from the agenda of the Majlis by the intervention of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The bill also included a six-month extension of the current Majlis session.

Khameini's intervention came even before the bill was presented for the decision of Expediency Council Chairman Hashemi Rafsanjani.
