The AKP files a Criminal Complaint at the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in Ankara

The ruling AKP filed a criminal complaint at the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in Ankara on the plan of a military coup d'etat recently published in the Taraf newspaper. The vice chairman of AKP said that their petition demanded further investigation on the document and to find and to punish those responsible for attempting such actions as described in the document.

The criminal complaint petition stated that the elimination of a political party and a government formed by that party is unacceptable in a state of law. Political parties are an integral part of democracy and they represent the will of the people.

Prime Minister Erdogan said that they could not stay quiet on an issue aiming to destroy democracy. He stated that it is necessary to find those who are involved in this act.
