Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani has arrived in Cairo, where he is to meet with President Mubarak to discuss the relations between the two countries.

The Iranian daily Jomhouri-ye Eslami stated that the anti-smuggling barrier being constructed on the Gaza border by Cairo's "Camp David regime" was proof of this regime's cruel and treasonous nature. The daily added that, because of its hostility to the Palestinians and its desire to eliminate Hamas, Cairo is sabotaging the Palestinian reconciliation and collaborating with Fatah in staging a coup against Hamas in Gaza.
