Fatah Official: U.S. Played Central Role In Palestinian Schism

Azzam Al-Ahmad, leader of the Fatah faction in the Palestinian Legislative Council, has said that the U.S. is the main cause of the internal Palestinian schism, and that it had pressured the Palestinian Authority to sign the reconciliation agreement.
