Iran's official news agency IRNA, which has been functioning under the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, will now be subject to the office of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Ahmadinejad's office will also oversee the Organization of Culture and Islamic Liaison, which organizes Iran's cultural activity outside Iran and which up until now has operated outside the government.
