Lebanese Gov't To Investigate Hizbullah's Independent Communications Networks

Lebanese Communications Minister Marwan Hamada has said that a Hizbullah telephone network recently discovered in southern Lebanon has harmed Lebanese sovereignty, and that the matter would be investigated by Lebanese authorities.

The network, for Hizbullah's exclusive use, included conduits and cables laid in the region between Zoutar Al-Sharqiya and Yahmer.

Hamada said that Hizbullah was also setting up a wireless telephone network between Tyre and Al-Abasiyya.
