Sedighi in Iran Friday Sermon: Jundallah Leader Rigi's Arrest – Fatal Blow To U.S., U.K.; Obama Won Majority With Promise Of Change, But Continued To Support Assassins, Terrorists; Islamic Countries Must Speak With United Voice

Tehran prayer leader Hojjatoleslam Kazem Sedighi spoke in his sermon today of the February 23 arrest of Jundallah leader Abdolmalek Rigi as divine assistance.

Sedighi said that the arrest was made through close military and security forces cooperation, and that it constituted a fatal below to America, Britain, and their affiliated intelligence services in the region.

He told worshippers that the precisely coordinated, highly professional and successful arrest of Rigi by Iran's security and intelligence officers showed that claims that Western intelligence services have complete dominance are hollow, and that Iranian security and intelligence forces can "break" this so-called Western mastery of intelligence.

He asserted that America supported Rigi, and that his arrest had shattered the false image of America's invulnerability. "Obama won a majority with the promise of change, but continued to support assassins and terrorists from Israel to those terrorists active in the region," he said.

He referred to the disgrace and humiliation of the U.S. government because of its unstinting support for various terrorist groups in this region, and stressed that regional and neighboring countries must not support acts of sedition and terrorism against Iran in order to deal a blow against the Islamic republic.

He added that another reason for America's backing of terrorists is to cause divisions and rifts between Shiites and Sunnis, adding, "Right from the start, the Islamic Republic of Iran has heralded Islamic unity, for all Muslims of the world, including Shiites and Sunnis."

Turning to remarks by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei regarding the vital importance of the unity of the Islamic Ummah, he emphasized that Islamic countries, because of their common interests and because of their common enemies and common threats, have no option other than to return to Islam and to speak with one voice – a united voice.
