Anti-Regime Strike In Iranian Kurdistan

Residents of the big cities in Iranian Kurdistan, in northwestern Iran, today launched a general strike to protest against the May 9 execution of five Kurdish separatists, including one woman, by the regime.

The regime will beef up security forces in the province, and is broadcasting an address given by Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei during his visit there last year.
