AQAP Leaders Turning Selves In to Yemen Authorities

A Saudi daily reports, citing knowledgeable sources in Yemen, that AQAP's commander in the Al-Jawf province, Jama'an Safian, who turned himself in to the authorities on August 14, had given shelter to several other Al-Qaeda militants of non-Saudi origin, most of them Saudi. According to the sources, Safian's surrender is likely to yield information about numerous Al-Qaeda operations in the Yemen deserts, especially in the Marib, Jawf and Shabwa provinces.
