Algeria To Leaflet Against Al-Qaeda In Maghreb

On January 21, Noble Quran Broadcasting TV aired a program on which Algerian and foreign clerics rejected the justifications given by Al-Qaeda in the Maghreb for suicide bombings and harming civilians.

The program came in the framework of Algeria's struggle against Al-Qaeda in the Maghreb.

It was reported that the Algerian army would drop from airplanes leaflets containing the same anti-Al-Qaeda message, over regions known to be bastions of Al-Qaeda.

The army previously used aerial leafleting to distribute a fatwa by Saudi sheikh Ibn Al-'Uthaymin on the pointlessness of the struggle against the Algerian regime.
