Mahdi Army "Death Squad" Commander Returns To Baghdad From Iran

Sadrist sources in Iraq have confirmed that senior Mahdi Army official in Baghdad Abu Dar' returned to Baghdad from Iran when the battles between Iraqi security forces and the Mahdi Army began in Sadr City.

According to the sources, Abu Dar', commander of the "Death Squads," is known for killing his enemies with a drill, is now head of the Mahdi Army fighters and is organizing the operations to stop the attack on the city.

Abu Dar', whose real name is Isma'il Hafez Al-Lami, is the U.S. and Iraqi forces' No. 1 wanted man because of the murders he has committed.
